Keep the Heid and Read for Mental Health Awareness Week

This is Mental Health Awareness Week (9th to 15th of May) and one way we can boost our mood is by reading. Studies show that reading for just 6 minutes a day or more, can improve our mental health by a massive 68%, so as part of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, there will be a Scotland-wide reading moment called Keep the Heid and Read on Wednesday, 11th.

At Oldmachar we are taking part in this by holding our own Reading Moment as a whole school community and devoting 6 minutes to reading from 10am on the 11th. Please be prepared and have something with you to read on Wednesday, so we can all take part in the Reading Moment together.
