Purple Friday – 25th of February

As February is LGBTQ+ history month, Oldmachar’s Speak-Easy Club is working to raise awareness of Purple Friday, which this year is on the 25th of February.

Purple Friday is a day to show support for the LGBTQ+ community and their history by wearing something purple.

This is not a full dress-down day but pupils can show their support by wearing something purple such as socks, hair bands, scrunchies, etc., (or even their school tie👍). If they have PE on Friday they could wear a purple t-shirt or hoodie (appropriate for school).
