Acceptable Use Agreement
Digital technologies have become integral to the lives of pupils, both within schools and outside school. These technologies are powerful tools, which open up new opportunities for everyone and pupils should have an entitlement to safe internet access at all times.
This agreement is intended to ensure that:
- pupils will be responsible users and stay safe while using the internet and other digital technologies for educational, personal and recreational use;
- school systems and users are protected from accidental or deliberate misuse that could put the security of the systems at risk.
Annual Block Consent for Session 2021-22
The Annual Block Consent Form will be used for all ‘Routine and Expected‘ visits that are an accepted part of the curriculum and take place during the school day. These visits are to local venues within the city boundary, involve easily managed activities and happen on a regular basis. The information collected on the Annual Block Consent Form is securely held in school and destroyed at the end of the school session.
Anti-Weapon/Knife Crime Agreement
In Aberdeen City Council schools the safety and wellbeing of all pupils, staff and visitors is of paramount importance and we ensure that all of our schools follow the correct procedures in order to minimise risk. A zero-tolerance approach to the possession of a weapon or knife in school has been implemented in order to ensure, as far as possible, that pupils, staff and visitors are kept safe from harm.
The agreement will apply until the end of your child’s attendance at Oldmachar Academy. To confirm that the rules found within have been shared with your child, please complete the Form below.
Photography and Video Opt-In Form for Sessions 2021-22 & 2022-23
Your child’s image may be chosen to be featured within published material in the form of a photograph or video. For this, we are required to ask for your consent.
Consent will apply until the end of session 2022/23, however you can change your mind at any time by emailing oldmacharacademy@aberdeencity.gov.uk. There are separate Forms to complete, depending on the age of your child. You should only complete one Form per child.
