National RMPS trip to Garnethill Synagogue in Glasgow
On 27th October the National RMPS students, accompanied by Miss Forrest, Miss Cully and Miss Stuart received a tour of Garnethill Synagogue in Glasgow as part of their Judaism topic. Pupils were given a talk by Esmee who discussed different Jewish beliefs and practices. Stanley who takes the services also read the Torah to the pupils in Hebrew. Afterwards we went to a Kosher restaurant and were given the opportunity to try different types of food. Margaret who was eating at the restaurant explained to pupils what kosher food was and why it was so important to Jewish people. It was very educational and gave the pupils opportunities to talk to many different people.
